THANKS TO PETE

A very special thanks to Pete, our rolling stone. Pete turns up sleeps rough anywhere he can ,works, helps out and then disappears. We never know when he will be here but when he does miracles can happen. Ozzy may well not have made it if it was not for Pete's dedication.  He slept every night on the floor rolled in donated duvets with Ozzy.  He gave Ozzy something to live for and even when Ozzy wason the road to recovery Pete did not leave. In fact he saw Ozzy off and then was off himself!!  Wherever you are Pete -  Thank you!!!!

WHERE THERE IS GREAT LOVE THERE ARE MIRACLES!!!!!!

THANKS TO THE FRIENDS

Thanks to the Friends of Many Tears for all the recent collections and fund raising events that have happened this year.  Due to the recession fundraising is harder than ever so we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all who have helped the Friends raise funds this year.

There were three collections last weekend raising a total of £581.62.

A collection was held at Pets at Home in Exeter by Angela, Helen & Jenni not forgetting Ezzie (MT Rottie)
who did a really good job at promoting her breed and MT and was petted by all both the very young and old. Misty and Harley the collies also did a sterling job.  The collection was initially boosted by a donation in memory of Angela's mum by her friends so a special thank you to them.
We would also like to thank Pets at Home for donating £50 of vouchers for the forthcoming dog show.

At Llanelli in the rain we have to thank Margaret, Elaine, Chris, Katharine, Rachel and Lynn and of course all 7 dogs, Scrumpy, Brayla, Bella, Millie, Gwennie, Suzzy and Poppy.

Pets at Home Abingdon was Sue's first collection which she did all afternoon on her own apart from canine companion Dolly and her foster dog Georgia.  Many thanks to Debbie with Leah & Alfie who helped out in the morning. Sue is already planning her next collection!

Many thanks to Val, Jenni, Angela, Helen, Sarah, Lisa and Loraine who have also held collections for us this year. In January Loraine held the biggest collection ever at Windsor raising a fantastic £855.42 in a day.

The Friends could not hold collections without all the marvellous volunteers who come along to hold a collection box and of course their wonderful dogs who make all the difference at a collection.

Street collections are not of course the only way that funds are raised so thanks have to go to Anna, Annette & Pete who hold at least one function a year and always do so well. Also Sandie & Emma who have held a function this year. People like Sarah, Debbie and Yvonne who have tuck shops at their place of work. All the people who keep an eye on the collection boxes they have placed for us. Jean at the charity shop and the wonderful people who donate regularly via standing order. Danny does a great job with the foreign currency donations and Lynn who does a great job with Lily's Lotto.  Finally
Jan who has worked hard knitting all the dog coats for our webshop and seeing to their dispatch. This has been a great help - many thanks.

Finally thanks to Helen who has just taken on the massive job of the used stamp donations and last but not least the Friends webmaster who has done a grand job for almost three years and made the very first contribution to the Friends by buying them their domaine name.

We hope we have not left anyone out but rest assured whatever job you do for the Friends it is truly appreciated. If you would like to be a part of it all and help the Friends raise funds why not get in touch with them and discuss how you would like to help.

A raffle, with a painting by local artist Kevin Cavener of the winner's dog and posters showing a picture of one of the dogs rescued by Many Tears were excellent fund raisers.
